Named after Jenny Lind, a famous Swedish soprano, who was born on October 6th, 1820.

The original Jenny Lind was a wooden structure built in 1920 and located at 52nd and Camden Ave North. In 1937, a new building was errected at Bryant and 51st Ave North.
